Hiding Grant

Grant just loves hiding in little nooks and crannies. He's so funny.

Making moving fun

So, moving wasn't the easiest thing emotionally for us, even though we felt good about it. We love Chesterfield and were completely happy to be there and wanted to always live there. Although we didn't move far, we knew things wouldn't be quite the same. We are so thankful for friends who made the move easier for us and a lot more fun! Thanks guys, you know who you are! You lightened our loads. Just a few snapshots of our last week living at Chatham Grove Ln. We meant to take a few more, including one of our whole family on the front steps, but as everyone knows, "I'm sorry, I'm crazy."

Christian and Greyson having fun in their hooded shirts. Thanks friends for watching the kids various times the last couple weeks before we moved! We actually finished packing before the night before! That is impressive for me to finish anything before the night before. So, thank you!

Soderholm and the Dubon kids minus the younger brothers from both families. Thanks for having us over to play and eat! That was so fun that Paulo was back for a couple days.

Belmont Mommies! Drea and Kasey hosted a girls night out for me and I was so happy to play games with some of my favorite women! You guys are awesome! I am so going to miss seeing these friends multiple times a week! Friends like these are hard to find.

Speaking of friends. V is really going to miss her friends from church and school, especially Maggie and her teacher Ms. Whitney.

We were really thankful for Ms. Whitney and that Victoria was able to be in her class even if only for a short while.
I wish I could write this post in another way. It's not coming out the way that I would like. The main point is, we love our Chesterfield friends and family. We will be back in town a lot and hope that you all will remember that Farmville isn't too far down the road! We'd love to have any of you come visit us! You now have friends in the "heart of Virginia!"

The best day of Christian's life

As the kids were playing in a leaf pile, Christian declared that today was the best day of his life. He really was having a great time jumping, flipping, and sliding into the leaves.

Victoria and Grant loved it too.
And each other!Joyful jumping!(Action shot)

Grant's first playtime in a leaf pile!

He examined each one and of course tried to eat a couple leaves and sticks too, Eww!

I had fun photographing the kids in the dry leaves

Fall is fun!

Halloween Night

After the trip to the storage place in Farmville, we finally carved our pumpkins! Seriously, we started after 4:00 on Halloween. That's how crazy we are.
And even though it was getting late. I had my mind set on what I wanted to make for dinner. We ate dinner cooked in a pumpkin. Yummy!
Then we trick or treated to Grandma and Grandpa's house!
We tried trick or treating down their street, but the houses are so far apart and not too many lights were on. Not too many were on in our neighborhood either. Boo!

So, I don't have any pictures, but we called Cori, one of my favorite high school friends, and went to her neighborhood, Smoketree, to trick or treat. It was a great neighborhood for trick or treating! It was fun to join Chris, Cori, Chance, and the crew(Sam and a baby that they were babysitting too.) The kids had fun and got lots of candy!

We enjoyed returning home to see these neat glowing jack-o-lanterns!

Packing up the house

We haven't just been having fun... we have also been

sweeping

packing

and stacking.

Lots of boxes to move to Farmville! Just the ride tired Christian out.

We are doing a truckload a day. The goal is to only have furniture left in here by Wednesday! Wish us luck!

Belmont Fall Festival!

So, now that I am no longer the Activities Committee Chairman, I was actually able to go and have fun with and take a couple pictures of my kids at the fall festival! In a way I missed it, but in another I didn't at all.

Despite this picture and the fact that Danny was working, the kids and I had a fun time.

Although we got there a little late because it is tricky to get three kids into costumes and make chili all in an hour, it was still much easier than being in charge! Well, did I mention that Grant started choking and threw up all over his costume just a couple minutes after we got there. Still better than last year when I was in charge and Danny was late because he was at a wrestler's offials meeting, and it was rainy and we had to move our party indoors, and Christian threw up in his mask because he ate to many fire hot Cheetos. Fun memories.

We enjoyed the food and the nice fall weather. It was also fun to see the neat decorations and our friends in fun costumes!

There was a hayride and several carnival games. Victoria and Christian had fun with games such as...
.

Bobbing for donuts- thanks for the help Kacey!

And fishing!

The kids went trunk or treating with their friends Sarah, in the above picture, and her little sister, Sophia. I walked with them while their mom, Heather, watched her baby and Grant and handed out our candy from her trunk. It's good to have a mommy friend! The Dubons live around the corner from us and really are good friends! We left after the trunk or treating because we saw lots of other cars leaving, but afterwards I found out we left a half hour early and missed the chili and pumpkin contests. Oops! I was having a rough night for some reason. Guess we'll never know if that hurriedly created Chili was a favorite.

Super school- halloween style

October is coming to an end, and sadly, so are my days of teaching Christian, Ansen, and Zane as a class at Super School.

It was fun that my last class could be the day before Halloween. It was supposed to be Monday and Wednesday, but thanks to being sick with the swine flu the end of the previous week and first couple days of this week, we decided to postpone,

We learned about W's, triangles, 6, the color black, and more!

It was fun to work on our numbers and counting with candy buckets and candy corn. It was also fun to read some fun Halloween books. We read another book, My letter Ww Sound Box and made our own W sound box too.
It was fun catching the boys making triangles and W's at snack time with their string cheese.

It was also fun that the boys stayed an extra hour and had wrapped mummies with us for lunch. No pictures of that. I don't think I have pictures or mentioned even 1/3 of what we did, but it is better than nothing. It's been fun.

Here's one last picture of them "working" outside. Aren't they fun?

Halloween Playgroup

We had a festive few days leading up to Halloween, starting with a Halloween playgroup! There was a big turnout of moms and kids. Playgroups have been pretty sparse lately, so this was fun to have so many friends there again! We'll sure miss seeing these friends on a weekly basis when we move.

Drea brought lots of yummy Halloween sugar cookies. The kids decorated them with icing from Amy and Alicia and toppings from all the other moms. Holiday playgroups have become a group effort. Everyone contributes a litte and it turns out to be great fun for everyone.

Christian shared a really cool witch cookie with me.

The kids also rode around on bikes, ride-ons, scooters, etc.

Here's Grant playing with one of them. Cute little Dalmation puppy, huh?

Next, the kids listened to me tell and read Halloween stories. Then Melissa helped them with a lollipop ghost craft.

Lastly, they got to hit a pinata that Jen brought! Not sure if you can tell, but Christian was jumping up and down while he was hitting the eyeball! It was nuts! I must say, I love my little Hyper Hypo!

The pinata finally broke and the kids were pretty excited!

It was a fun playgroup!
