Nice job to both of them! Danny won! I am not going to lie, I was proud!

Sis. Thomas and Sis. Purcell lead YW
Sis Thomas and Sis. Purcell were so awesome to lead our activity on Wednesday night. We all tried a few new things. Sis. Thomas taught us how to make origami paper cranes and Sis. Purcell taught us a dance. For a snack we tried Mochi Balls and Kimchi. It was a lot of fun!

Grant and I love to play games and sports together. He is so smart and energetic and fun and I love him so much!
100th day of Kindergarten for Kate
I love her focus. I wish I took an after pic of the poster. Maybe I did. If I find a pic, I will add it.
She is so so sweet!
Good work, Kate! 100 days smarter! Wow!

Saturday Chores
We have to work hard to play hard. We sometimes forget this. On Saturdays, we have rotating chores- Indoor Project, Outdoor project, Kids' bathroom, and Vacuum Upstairs. I am proud of these kids when they are hard workers. I didn't take any pics of the indoor chores, but Grant had the chore to remove leaves from the basement stairwell. It was nice of Christian to help move the morning along.
Katherine and I went on a run. My little buddy ran/walked a mile with me in 13 min! I was proud of her. She has short legs and is a kindergartner! Grant, Christian, and Danny threw balls.
Victoria had a fun night. She went to a dance and I was a poparozzi mom.

Young Men and Young Women Winter Olympics
We broke into different "countries" and made team names and flags
We had lots of competitions, but I forgot to take pictures. I got busy awarding metals and such.
We has short track and long track speedskating (across the gym for short and around the loop for long)
Figure skating was awesome and hilarious!
Fun times!

Temple Trip Meetup
We met up with the Smithfield Ward Youth for a Temple Trip! The LaRues met up too and it was a special reunion.
We went to dinner with them afterward and it was fun to catch up. I had a lot of fun. V did too. She wanted me to take a picture of her and Quinn. That should be easy, right? No! They couldn't stop laughing.
She misses her best friend. So glad they could meet up!

Grant's Learning and Growth
Grant has made tremendous progress in speech this year! We are so thankful that he has been able to work with Mrs. Cappellini. She is awesome! Check out these notes- 100% on medial er sounds and 100% on all positions of R. Honestly, we are proud of Grant for working hard and are thankful to Cara for all of her hard work with him!
Grant is also doing a great job with his other subjects. This year he gets letter grades and makes all A's and A+'s on his report cards. He really likes learning and is a competitive kid too, so we aren't too surprised.
I really love Mrs. Wheeler's creative assignments! She makes learning fun and allows her students to aim high. Here are just a few samples of Grant's creative writing.
It was also kind of Mrs. Wheeler to respond to the letter. She gives her students a lot of time and love and attention and she is great about keeping parents in the know. She takes and shares pictures frequently and we always know what they are up to during the day. I really am impressed with her teaching.

Museum Day
The kids and I had a fun day in Winchester. We went to lunch at Roy Rogers and then went to the
Shenendoah Valley Discovery Museum. We hadn't ever been before and it was really fun. I love Children's Museums! Katherine and Grant loved it and I think Christian and V did too. They are getting older, but they still like to play and like to see the joy through their siblings' eyes too.

The Worst Tree Removal Ever
This post is accurate.
We had to clean up this mess and we figured with a new year it was time to paint a few of the trouble spots in the house, the downstairs bathroom and the laundry room. (When I said we, I meant that I picked the colors and Danny painted. He's awesome.)
