June Jumble

Sometimes I have to take a picture because it is such a beautiful day!

I also like to take pictures of the kids working from time to time- detergent making is one of the favorite chores! Especially grating the soap!
I loved hearing the YW since Peace in Christ!

Katherine makes friends easily at the park and isn't intimidated by older kids.

look at this picture of a mother's joy!

happy times at the playground while Grant was at art camp!

finding a fun thrift store nearby- Slindy's

finding artwork that reminds me of my grandma's house

finding furniture that we own at the antique store and finding that it is worth a good amount.

Elder Munoz and Elder Murphey made dinner for us one Sunday! So sweet! These are good guys.

One day for FHE, we followed Isaac's tutorial and made these ninja flyers.

From time to time I "Marie Kondo" the  house and love it! Look at Katherine's great summer clothes. They really do bring me joy.

Playdate with Ace! They missed their teacher and wanted to make a card for her!
V talked her sister into giving her a facial.

Kate wanted to take home the class rules from her classroom and was excited to keep it on display for a couple weeks as rules for our summer. Class Family. School Home.

Christian is a good big brother!

We participated in Summer Reading at the library. Katherine and Grant's dots were up there.

A little fun with Snap Chat.

A little fun with Ooblek.

Girls Camp 2018

Victoria went to her 4th year of Girl's Camp, this time at Prince William State Park, with the Fredricksburg Stake. She didn't know anyone in her cabin and that was tricky, but she made some new friends, got to know the girls from the ward better, and loved her leaders. A main highlight of camp this year was taking a field trip to a high ropes course. Phones were not allowed, but I was happy to see a few pictures from camp of familiar faces.
Caroline, V, Hadasha, and Mariely wearing some tie-dye that we made at a recent activity.

Bishop and Sister Greenall came to visit camp!

Sis. Johnson, Piedmont's amazing YW President and one of my best friends here, and Sis. Kunka, who is also from our ward.

Brother and Sister Cooper

Sis. Kim Cooper was Victoria's Unit Mom and was her favorite part of camp! She made things so much fun and was so good to the girls! She decorated the cabin, gave the girls cute bags and bandanas, set up glow in the dark volleyball, did moon dancing, and more. Victoria said so many good things about her and just loves her so much. V thought it was somewhat hard to be new to the stake at an older age when it seemed like the other girls knew each other or had a friend. It definitely wasn't her favorite year at camp so far, which was sad for me to hear.  She really did love her leaders though! She told me about how much fun she had with Sis. Cooper, Sis. Genho, and a few others whose names I unfortunately can't remember right now.  Thank you, leaders, for being awesome!

Getaway with Danny

Danny and I enjoyed a few days at the Homestead while my parents stayed with the kids and Victoria went to Girls Camp.

It was for a Danny's work, so he was in meetings every day, but there were events that spouses were invited to in the evenings.

He went to lots of meetings and classes and I had a relaxing few days going to the gym, going on hikes, reading and relaxing. I went to "tea" every afternoon and enjoyed water or lemonade and a treat on the front porch. It really is a beautiful place and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I enjoyed getting to know the other administrators and their spouses too.

We loved our time away, but felt so loved and happy to come home to this and our awesome kids!

Cookie Day

We had a fun time making tons of cookies one day! Each kid picked a type of cookie to make and we made the dough (rolled into balls) in bulk and froze them in Gallon size ziploc bags. We honestly made months worth. It was really handy to have cookie dough that could be baked at a moment's notice.

If I recall properly, we made chocolate andes mint, ginger cookies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip, and energy bites.
