Busy Basketball Cheer Season Comes to an End

Victoria enjoyed cheering for Boys and Girls Varsity B-ball this year. The Varsity Boys had an especially good season and made it to the State Quarterfinals!

V is really going to miss this small cheer squad. They got along really well and had a lot of fun together. She has tons of funny pics and videos with these girls. Maybe she will want me to add a few more. She is especially going to miss the Seniors!

Christian Blocked Me Mercilessly!

I am a little embarrassed to post this, but Christian killed me in Blokus! Like, the worst loss I have ever suffered. He was a good sport about it, but look at his grin, just dying to come out!

Oh my goodness, I am embarrassed by my lack of skill this afternoon, but I love this clever, smart, dimpled boy of mine!

Coach V

Victoria helps coach the Medford League basketball team again this year!
I wasn't able to go to many games because they were on Tuesdays when I was volunteering in Katherine's classroom. V shared a few cute pictures though!
I was glad to make it to the last game, against Madison, at Orange High School. I love how much fun these players and coaches have together!

Good game! Good season, Blue Devils!

Kate's Class Book

I love this title and subject!

Katherine's drawing is cool! I like the depth that she created in the classroom.

I am glad, Katherine, that you like to be kind and help others! I really appreciate it when you help me find things that I can't find!

Victoria has been waiting for this day for a while now.
She is so glad to have her learner's permit and is driving every chance she gets!

DMV Norm-Breaking Experiment

Grant, would you care to write about this? Let's just say that Grant and I had an interesting visit. He wore this hat and surprisingly, or not, he was not the strangest person there.

These two had a blast at the Daddy Daughter Glow in the Dark Dance! Katherine even convinced Danny to let her paint his thumb nail!

Katherine's 7th Birthday!!!

Danny and Katherine went to pick out donuts first thing in the morning.
V and I tidied the house and decorated for  her party!

V did Kate's hair and took a few pictures while we waited for the friends to come!
7!

She has picked a chocolate chip cookie cake most years and loves a Valentine's theme party! She has picked other themes, but she is a heart loving girl!

She really wanted to play limbo, so we did that first!

Then we played heart stacking.

Danny got in on the competition too.

Make a wish!

She has a great friends!

Reid gave her a doc McStuffins card and a movie theater gift card. Look at her face when she noticed what kind of card it was. She wants to take him to the movie with her. They were in kindergarten and first grade together and play most days at recess. The game I hear about most often is "Escape the principal". They also do "workouts".

Jack gave her art supplies, which you can see she loves! She loves it when Pete and Jack come over to play.

Rowan gave her new drawing pads and he helped his mom make Katherine this adorable pillow below.

The cutest thing was that he sent a video asking Katherine what her favorite color was- purple- and used that for the fabric on the back. Super thoughtful!

Imaan and her brother came too and gave Katherine a really cool merry go round for a fingerling. Sometimes they bring their fingerlings to school, so it was very thoughtful of her to know how much she likes those. Imaan was also in class with Kate last year and this year and they are cute friends!

Serious shot was tricky.
Silly shot was much better!

Her party was very sweet and simple and she loved it. After she opened her presents they were ready to play! Instead of some of the games that we had planned, the kids just wanted to play with toys in the basement. They had so much fun and it was nice for Danny and I to talk to the adults for a bit too.

After her party she opened presents from the family.
I was so excited to give my math loving girl this book!

She also got some new pjs- she is growing so tall!

Victoria gave her this bathing suit with stars! She still loves space and stars and she is going to start swimming again- so this is very fitting.

Christian gave her new slippers.

Grant gave her a giant purple bath bomb!

We also gave her a new outfit that is so her!

And last but not least.... MATH GAMES! That was what she really asked for and she was pumped!

We played them both with a little lunch in between.

Then we looked at bikes. She was given money from her grandma and Grandpa for a bike, but she was also given $5 from her Nana (Danny's Nana) and $5 from her Great Aunt Mary and $1 in a card from her friend. You won't believe what happened. The bike she chose was used and only $11, so she got to buy the cool new pink and white bike, a new unicorn helmet and keep the rest of the money! She was very happy!

That night she picked to go on a daddy daughter date to use her Glory Days gift certificate that she got for being a star stallion. Grant had one too! So the three of them hung out that night and I took V, C, and friends to a dance. It was a super fun day for Kate and we enjoyed celebrating with her. She is such a happy, good, lovable kid!
