Ashley and I had a weekend full of fresh air, shopping, good food and laughter!
I drove to Carrollton so we could rode trip together, then Ashley drove us up the Eastern Shore towards Ocean City. Our first stop was in a cute little town called Berlin. It had a really cute main street and we enjoyed several of the little shops.
Then, we hit the beach- even in the winter it is beautiful!
We had a great view from our hotel room.
That night we went to a pizza place that was really good.
We explored Ocean City for a bit and then went to Homegoods. I bought some things with my gift card from Christmas.
We went to get ice cream and the brownie sundae I got was humongous, but they were both so good. It was cold outside, so we got in Ashley's car.
This song was on and it was hilarious to hear it and think of ice cream- "Take away all my sadness" "Ease my troubles, that's what you do!" Perfect ice cream anthem!
Ashley was so sweet to bring fun masks for us to do!
We didn't really come with a plan other than to relax. The next day we got up and rolling at a leisurely pace and then basically shopped til we dropped! We scored serious bargains at the outlets! Carter's clearance was 50% off and we had fun buying really cute things for Gracie and Katherine, each item cost between 2 and 5 dollars. We also hit Gymboree, Old Navy, Gap, and Adidas and found great things there too- thankfully some things for the boys and V too. Winter things are on clearance at the end of February! Some of the things that I bought will be for Christmas! We had fun browsing through souvenir and local shops too. We stopped only for dinner- we had Mexican. The locally recommended restaurant was way overpriced and they didn't bring chips and salsa, but their southwestern eggrolls were amazing!
The next morning we got yummy hot chocolate for breakfast. We went to Assateague Island to see the ponies and saw some! We also went to the visitors center there and spent some time looking around.
We had a nice drive back and I visited with Ashley's sister-in-law Stephanie and the kids.
Then, before making the trek back to Culpeper, I visited Craig and Lorel and the kids. That was really fun too!
I felt so blessed to have a fun, relaxing, rejuvenating weekend with friends!
