Other October Tidbits

Victoria had a cheer competition in Richmond before Light the Night, so Grandma came to watch!

The YW had a facepainting night.

I came out looking like Gem or one of the Holograms!

V  and her friends are so good at posing for cute pictures!

The "little blues" that V teaches in preschool came to cheer with her! 

We went to my cousin Meghan's wedding. It really was a beautiful and special wedding,

I had some really cute dates.   

These cousins love seeing each other at dances. 

V and her friends had fun at Sonic after the dance while Lynnie and Nicole and I had a fun time talking in Lynnie's car. Side note: Lynnie and I are taking turns cleaning and doing organizational projects at each others' houses lately. It has been a lot of fun and I am thankful to have another friend around here.

Speaking of friends, I have also started walking with Rachel Hibbert at Yowell Meadow Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It has been good to get more exercise and to talk too!

V got this cute picture when Christian held an umbrella for me after church. I love it!

Danny and Grant wrestle around family prayer a lot. It is fun... for them.

I liked seeing a pic of their cute seminary class. Victoria, Christian, and Morgan are from our ward. The teacher and the rest of the kids are in Culpeper. About half go to CCHS.

Danny works so hard and falls asleep on the sofa within a few minutes almost every night. People think it is an exaggeration, but he works a ton. Goes to school around 6:30 and gets home on average around 7. Oftentimes, much later.

I loved this thank you note from one of my cheerleaders.

I also love when someone asks me to babysit. 

Life is good.

Halloween Celebrations

Not pictured, Danny was a referee. Christian was at a cross country meet, so was late to the trunk-or-treat and didn't have a costume.

Really, I looked normal, but I wore my favorite highlighter yellow sweater with bright lipstick and witch hat earrings.

It was another year that we didn't carve the pumpkins until the day of Halloween, but at least we did it!

It was super rainy, so trick-or-treating was postponed. Thankfully, we had already done trunk-or-treat! 

Geema visit

Geema came to Culpeper to see Christian's play and to spend some time with  us. We went to Jenkins Orchands together and she treated us to a bunch of apples and let each kid pick a jar or two of specialty salsas, jams, or ciders. It was very generous and a fun outing. We enjoyed all of the yummy healthy treats too.

The Addams Family

The Addams Family was an excellent play at CCHS.

Christian was Lucas Beineke, a main character and Wednesday's boyfriend

We couldn't wait to see it on opening night! I love how so many of the theater parents help and chip in. I liked how my other kids helped me help too with cupcakes and cookies and such for concessions.

The play was honestly awesome and I loved watching it every time!

So many talented kids involved and I know that all of the parents were so proud. I have listened to the videos of the singing so many times and wish that my video clips were posting properly.

The siblings were definitely proud and have been singing and reenacting parts of the play.

Geema was glad to see it too!

And... Grandma and Grandpa came! This is huge because my dad has been so sick and immunocompromised, but we snuck him last minute and he wore a mask and used hand sanitizer. It was so sweet of them to drive all the way here just to see it and drive back, but they enjoyed it too.  

And grandma gave the kids creepy fun candy hands for Halloween.
