Tooth? or Roll?

Victoria has had a lose tooth for quite a while. In fact, the dentist even noticed it was starting to be lose in August. It finally became very lose this week and was wiggling back and forth, but V did not want anyone to touch it and avoided using it when eating.

A picture of her wiggling her tooth last weekend

Also, Grant is maturing and enjoys tummy time. He has been sooo close to rolling over and seems like he should be able to do it. We have been expecting it for a little while now.

Grant thinks about it from time to time.

We had a little bet going about what would happen first. Would V finally lose her tooth or would Grant finally roll over? Well....

Grant is still happily not rolling over, unless we tip the blanket a bit or reposition an arm.

But, Victoria lost her first tooth!!!

Isn't she so cute? When she got off the bus today she was all grins and I could tell for certain, even a ways away, that her little tooth had fallen out. It really was adorable how excited she was- truly glowing! She said that she wiggled it in the hallway at school right before she went into PE and it just fell right into her hand. She was excited to lose it at school because her name went up on a special bulletin board in the cafeteria and she also got to bring her tooth home in a neat envelope from the clinic.

She wanted to show Grandma too. So, of course she just rang the doorbell and smiled. Grandma could tell right away too.

We took lots of pictures tonight and she put her tooth in the adorable tooth pillow that her teacher, Traci, made last year when they studied T for tooth. Thanks again, Traci! You prepared us. There was a little poem on the back too so we read that before bedtime. The cute tooth pillow Traci made!

It was a great day, but V was a bit sad going to sleep because Danny was working and she didn't get to see him today and she also knew that she wouldn't see him tomorrow either. He is working tomorrow through tomorrow night too.

However, when he got home he was excited too and wanted Victoria to be able to call the tooth fairy! I never even knew that you could, but thought it sounded cool. So, Danny woke up our sleeping daughter and called the tooth fairy. V was a little shy(or way tired) so Danny talked first, but V did in fact talk to the tooth fairy who told her that she knew about her losing her tooth. The tooth fairy, Galinda,(???) said that Victoria should put the tooth in her tooth pillow under her pillow. She promised that she would come during the night and bring a dollar!

It will be an exciting morning!
