Winter Sports Awards

V is a great coach!

Victoria loves to help coach basketball for students with physical and intellectual disabilities. She and the other coaches do a great job coaching, and the players, boys and girls, are awesome! They have all improved since the start of the season. The crowd was really great too! Overall, I love going to these games.

Danny and I both have really positive experiences with the Medford League. We had a team at Monacan, when I was in high school. I did not coach basketball, but instead helped coach the cheerleaders! I made new friends and loved how happy they were to be involved. It really helped the school to get to know these students. They were stars for these games and it helped them to be more acknowledged, valued, and included. Danny became familiar with the league when he worked at James River High School. He loved it so much and started leagues in Prince Edward, Windsor, and now Culpeper! I am so proud of my husband for helping to get the ball rolling for these leagues. The leagues include many schools, not just the schools where he has been an administrator. We really are so glad that more students are able to be involved in the Medford League. There was a great article in the local paper, the Star Exponent, about this game. It includes a few comments from Danny too.

Oragami

I find guys like this around the house a lot.

Grant's Planets

Grant's Cereal box project gives some insights into his life as a 9 year old. He is such a cool kid.

Little hands, Love notes, and Listening

I love to see all of the things that my kids' hands, even our littlest's hands, can do.
Painting a toadstool house from her cousins.
Katherine is diligent about doing her homework.

For an FHE around Valentines Day this year we drew names and wrote each other love notes.

I don't take many pictures of the normal everyday things. Here is one of Grant listening to Danny read a book. Typically, I try to spend about 15-30 minutes reading with my kids each night. If Danny is home, he gets in on the fun too. Important memories.

Some of our favorite missionaries!

Honestly, we love this group of Elders and Sisters!  They come over for Correlation Meeting every Sunday and we have gotten to know them well. They really are special and we hope to keep in touch after their missions.

Daddy Daughter Dance at Yowell

This little girl was so excited to get ready to go to a Glow Dance with her Dad! He met us in the parking lot of the school, so I didn't get any pictures of them together, but I will see if he has any and add them.

I heard that it was a lot of fun! Danny got to meet Katherine's friends and their dads. They spent a lot of time with Chloe and Jaya and their fathers.

YW art night

We learned a new paint pouring technique using glue, paint, and oil.  Some of them turned out to be pretty cool.

Fun February Extended Weekend

Instead of having a friend party here in Culpeper, Katherine really wanted to see her cousins and friends in Carrollton/Smithfield. We had a blast at the VA Living Museum, our hotel, and the hotel pool. Super fun! We were so glad that the DeWeeses and Marshalls joined us!

It was Cecil's birthday too!

The next morning we went by one of our favorite spots just to see it.

Then, we met my parents at Maymont Park, our favorite park! It felt like a spring day!

We feel so blessed to be able to spend such quality time with family and friends!
