Halloween Party for Grant's 2nd grade class

I love planning class parties and some teachers totally let me! Yay! Thanks, Mrs. Scott! Liam's mom, and I planned this one. It was a STEM party. Teams made "spider catchers,"  cut paper to make chains,  tested items to see if they sink or float, made marshmallow and toothpick structures and more. They loved it and learned some things too!

Grant's Book Character Parade

Book Character Day is always a fun day at Carrollton!

 Jake, Maddie, and Grant
Grant's teacher, Mrs. Scott, as Emily Elizabeth from Clifford
Forest (one of our friends and on of my former primary students)
 Ella
 Westly and friends
 Sweet Camille
 I-guy!
So fun to have my niece and nephew at school!
Grant enjoyed being a knight from the round table!
(V was a snapchat dog at school.)

Flowers and a note of encouragement

I was faced with some worrisome challenges around this time. I shared very vaguely that I was struggling on facebook and a mystery friend responded. It meant a lot. Thank you, friend.

Halloween afternoon and night 2016

Christian happily made slime. He is quite good at this.

All of the kids enjoyed building with the pumpkin gumdrops and toothpicks that I had purchased for Grant's party (someone was allergic to something in them, so we used marshmallows instead)

Victoria made us mummy hotdogs for dinner. She was a snapchat dog for halloween.
It was an exciting night at our house with lots of friends coming and going.

Victoria, Annie, and hung out together at our house and gave out candy.

Grant was a banana and Christian was a gorilla. It was funny to see Christian chase Grant. Their friends, Daniel and Dylan came over to trick or treat with them.
Katherine's friend Eleanor and her family came too.

Eagle Harbour always does a great job with Halloween, lots of candy, lights, music, and decorations.

It was a fun Halloween night.

Halloween Party at the DeWees's house

Pure joy!

If memory serves me right, Grant and Grace were at a birthday party for a classmate at the skating rink, so they were having fun too.

Soccer with Coach Craig

Danny wasn't able to make it to coach Christian's game due to a conflict with work, but Uncle Craig saved the day! He coached Christian's team. It was a pretty cool and helpful thing to do and we feel blessed to have him as a brother, brother in law, and uncle and so glad to have them living closeby.

It was the last game of the season and Danny came back in time to give them their trophies.

Also noteworthy was this cheering section!!!
