March Misc. 2022

Cute sleeping boy

Leaking water heater- luckily I caught it early and nothing was ruined. Also, I was thrilled that it broke because our showers ran cold frequently. The new water heater makes my showers gloriously hot!

Victoria cutting Elder Van Tassel's hair after an activity.
Did you know that these two, Elder Richins and Elder VanTassel, were two of her best friends when they served in the YSA. (I am writing this long after, and they have moved on to different areas.)  The branch is small. V is the RS president. They had church together Sunday, FHE on Monday, Institute on Wednesday, correlation meetings, lessons for investigators, and occasionally came here for dinner. She loved the sisters and they spent a ton of time together too, but these three just clicked and hope to be lifelong friends.

St. Patrick's Day spread at CMS on behalf of the PTO.
(I had to be really creative because the budget was small and groceries are increasing in price. )

Green donuts from Krispy Kreme!

Traditional St. Patrick's Day fare.

Grant and K made an outhouse out of the water heater box.

It was pretty realistic looking, totally strange, and hilarious. It was also a good conversation starter for friends and missionaries who saw it.

Elder Dixon's birthday!

Grant got braces! They matched his sweatshirt. They hurt a lot, but are going to be worth it!

Beautiful flowers in the yard. Yay for signs of spring!

Victoria has been on a lot of great dates in the past few months. I definitely won't make this V's dating diary, but this date with her friend, Ryan, to a Caps game was a favorite.

Not a date, but that night I went to a really fun Mom's Night at Krista's house.

We made flower arrangements!

And we dressed as famous moms. It was so funny! I hope I can find a group shot and add it. I was Morticia Adams.

March Miscellaneous

Katherine started an after-school club called "Girls on the Run!" She loves it!!!!

Christian smiles for me after Winter Sports Awards!

Way to be a scholar athlete!

He really works hard on schoolwork nearly every night! Lots of AP and Dual-enrollment classes take a lot of time and effort. We are proud of him!

V and Danny playing ping-pong! So cute!

Dinner- helper!  Love my capable kids and am so glad when they do a good job with their chores.

Need more pictures of Grant. But update... he finished wrestling season successfully. He is doing really well in school and is making great grades. He plays basketball nearly every morning before school. He is also going to manage the JV boys baseball team at the high school. He won't be able to try out for the team until 8th grade, but he can help them with equipment, water, and so forth this year. The upside is that he can practice with them and that benefits him and them next year. He is about to start back into Little League too. He is staying active and having fun.

Josephine Cochrane in the Wax Museum

Katherine loved being a part of her ACE class's Wax Museum of Inventors!  She was Josephine Cochrane, the inventor of the dishwasher! She learned a lot about her and about her invention and wrote and memorized a speech to share each time someone pressed her bell. The students had plenty of time to work on their research, posters, costumes, etc, but Kate put off the speech which was a very important part of the whole project. We learned that Katherine can memorize multiple paragraphs in an afternoon. I was very impressed with that ability!

Katherine and Faith as Josephine and Hetty Lamar!
