Sydney's graduation party!
A perfect Grant picture.
When Grant crashes, he crashes hard.
Teagan's graduation party!
Maymont outing with the girls!
Tacos for lunch
Prepping for Trek and also prepping for a big surgery.
These are just a few pictures that I snagged at Trek. I will add some more soon.
Victoria works as a leader in her ward. She helped put on a dad and daughter party. They made marshmellow shooters and then had a battle!
Katherine was able to play All-star ball again this summer.
Danny was a coach.
We had a fun Father's Day and played games like curling.
We enjoyed rootbeer floats too!
I had a hysterectomy mid- June. I had been having several issues and had been in a lot of pain. I had a large fibroid that needed to be removed as well as another unknown vascular lesion. The first surgeon who I saw thought it was a polyp. The second surgeon, who was my surgeon, predicted that it was another fibroid. I was pretty nervous about it, but my surgeon and anesthesiologist did a great job because it wasn't nearly as bad as I had heard or expected. Everything went pretty smoothly. We have since heard that everything was benign. The unknown lesion was a polyp and had not become cancerous. I didn't lose too much blood, which was great because that was a concern.
I was thankful to Danny for going with me and bringing me home. I was grateful to Kristie, Lynnie, Julie and my mom for providing meals for us! I was also thankful for these beautiful flowers that my mom sent, ice cream from Ali, and a surprise visit from the Monday Night Girls. They brightened my spirits. I was thankful for texts to check on me too. I was not afraid to talk about it, but didn't go around telling people about it either. My family was good to check on me and give me time and space to rest. They also helped me to get out and walk a bit each day too and Katherine, despite hating shopping came to the stores with me a couple of times to push the cart and lift heavy things.
Danny and I had a nice date night to Les Mis at the Kennedy Center. That was a gift from Christian and we loved it!
Christian and Mia went to the beach with Mia's family that day.
Victoria and Kate made Christian's birthday cake while I was resting.
We celebrated Christian's birthday a week early because the beginning of July was going to be really busy. We sure love Christian. He is a wonderful son, brother, and person!
