Back to School 2025- 11th and 8th

Last Meet the Teacher at the Middle School!

Katherine is ready for 8th grade! She has all of the same teachers Grant had, except one!

Grant is a Junior! Time is flying! It is going to be a big year for him.  All of his classes are dual enrollment, including automotive classes that he will be taking at CTech. He is going to graduate with a lot of college credit, so that will be handy! DE classes also bump up his GPA. He is doing really well in that regard!

I am glad that G and Kate will have some good bonding time on the drive to school. No seminary this week, but when it starts I will drive Katherine to the church and then they will drive to school together.

Katherine requested a party after school, so I put out some apples and a Norm Rockwell School Days print that I got for Danny.

Apple balloons and apples with cream cheese heath dip for an after-school snack made the party!

They both had a good first day. I didn't see Grant for a while because he had football practice. (More about that soon!) Danny had a good day too. Christian starts back at George Mason in a couple of weeks.

Successful FSY and Boys Day in DC and Maryland

Grant and Levi enjoyed the rest of FSY!

Danny had the idea to invite his friend, Ben, to join him in picking the boys up at University of Maryland and to then go see his son, Jackson. Ben came and spent the night in Culpeper, then they took off for College Park bright and early. They picked up the boys from camp and had breakfast then went to DC to go to museums, lunch, and a Nats game! Good stuff!

I did it!

I was about a year and a half behind on the blog and it felt overwhelming to try to catch up, but Victoria challenged me. I decided that I could do it while I was resting and recovering from my hysterectomy and I did! The posts are backdated and may be missing key components of our lives, but I will pat myself on the back and say that done is better than perfect intentions.
