Katherine's Baptism

Katherine turned 8 and chose to be baptized.
She was very happy

and excited!

We were all very excited for her!
Geema and Papa came.
My parents watched over Facetime. We were so thankful for that technology and that they could be a part. My dad is still not able to be around people, but the good news is that he is recovering!

Patrick and his kids came.

Bobby and Kattia and their kids came too.

It was a very nice baptism. Katherine's friend Jack said the opening prayer. Camila played the piano and Megan was the chorister. We sang I am a Child of God. Geema gave a talk on baptism. Victoria and Christian sang "When I am Baptized." Camila accompanied them. It sounded beautiful. Danny baptized Katherine and Kattia and Bob were the witnesses. I gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and then Katherine was confirmed with the Gift of the Holy Ghost and as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sister Emily Ray said congratulations from the Primary and Bishop Riner welcomed her to the ward. We closed with "I Love to See the Temple" and a closing prayer from Grant. It was sweet and simple and just right for Kate.
We took a picture as a family, but unfortunately it was a little too bright

Had to get a pic of Katherine and Jack. He is one of her best friends.

After the baptism, most of the family came over for tacos.
Geema made a purple quilt for Kate for her birthday!

And this special gift came from Lorel and Craig and family too!

She is a lucky little girl to have so much love and support in her decision to follow Jesus!
