Christian's High School Graduation! Class of 2023

Another exciting milestone for the Soderholm family was Christian's graduation!

We had an open house party the night before Christian's graduation. It was a great way for him to be able to have more friends attend and to be able to attend their parties the next day too.We decorated with Christian's awards and a lot of blue and gold.

Love the pile of friends' shoes at the door.

I think Victoria took pictures, so I need to get them from her and add them. For now, I have these two pictures.

Jonah came!

The Pauls, his amazing seminary teachers celebrated with us too!

I hope I can find the other pictures!

Lots of friends and family came to support Christian and they were generous.

May 20 was the big day!
Class of 2023

Dr. Brads and Dr. Soderholm lead the precession.

It was a nice ceremony and we loved hearing Christian's name, seeing him walk across the stage, get his diploma, and hug his dad.

(great clip!)

We were so happy for this great class!

Christian with some of his awards from over the years, his diploma, and marvelous Mia!
C and his friend, Grace.

C, do you have some more that you would like to add?

Proud family!
We love him! He achieves so much and more importantly is a good and kind human. We are proud of him as he graduates and approaches adulthood (18 in just a couple months!)

Principal dad with his favorite graduate of the year!

Bros and best roommates. What is G going to do when C leaves for college?! He is going to miss him!

Kate will miss her oldest brother too.

Grandma came! She thought that the weather was way better than V's! Everyone agreed.

It was a beautiful day and a nice normal graduation.
Christian was able to go to several of his friends' graduation parties that weekend. This is a picture from one of those.

On Sunday, May 21, we celebrated another big milestone!
Christian Graduated from seminary!

The Pauls and three of their graduates. Gavin and Alec are in the Culpeper ward and went to EV. They are great guys too.

Seminary isn't always easy, and we are proud of him for doing most of his work, and doing a good deal of makeup work at the end so that he could graduate. We are thankful for the Pauls' love, service, and patience in teaching!

Christian also got this emblem of achievement from  Bishop Riner.

On facebook, I posted:
We had another exciting graduation tonight! Christian graduated from seminary! He has gone most mornings before high school! (He even participated in early morning seminary virtually during the pandemic).
He also received an emblem of achievement for youth who are “trying to become more like the Savior by striving to:
Study the scriptures and pray daily.
Be worthy of a limited-use temple recommend.
Participate in Sabbath meetings, quorum or class work, and seminary.
Work on goals in each area of growth.(Physical, Spiritual, Social, and Intellectual)
Serve others in a personally significant way, which could include a service project.”
He told me, “I will put it up in my dorm on a shelf next to my mine craft figures.” I thought, ‘Son, I am thrilled that you want to put Christ in your dorm room!’ Love him!
