August 2023

Katherine and I went to the river with Lorel, Eve, and Liam and we mixed things up and went to the Compass Entertainment Complex. We also stopped by Northern Neck Popcorn Bag and sampled and bought some delicious popcorn. It was a fun little getaway. Of course, there was sun and water fun too.

 We wore her out!

Barbie movie with friends was so much fun!

So was our party for the Williams.

What won't be fun is our friends moving.

Our real feelings. We truly understand and hope it will be an awesome move for them!

Grant learned to make Papusas at the Hernandez home. Thanks, friends! I hope he will make them for us soon! Yum!

Sometimes when I am out with V, we just pull over to watch the sunset.

Grant is making some money mowing lawns still. Here he is at the Walker's house. We are glad this helps them and Grant.

Katherine went to CMS to meet her teachers!

Sample of some nightly shenanigans. They love each other and play a lot too.

Grant and Katherine started 9th and 6th grades!

Christian surprised me and them by taking them to breakfast and to school! Cool brother!

Seriously, how am I so lucky?!

Grant had football practice after school, but I got to hear about Kate's day over ice cream.

Middle school was really good, but also exhausting. Haha. Will this ever happen again? Who knows, so whenever a kid does this, I take a pic!

Ok, so about football, Grant is having fun!

He hadn't played for a couple years, but came in strong and got a spot as QB1!

It is fun to see him playing again and it is fun that he can play with Micah again.

Grandma came for her birthday! Love her!

She and V gave each other glasses! (They tried some on at a store together and then both separately went back and got them for each other. So cute.)

family walk with a beautiful sunset

V took Grandma to the Van Gogh experience. They enjoyed it!

We went to a wonderful bridal shower for Camila!

We went to Camila and Chandler's temple sealing, ring ceremony, and reception. All were wonderful! What a special day! We couldn't be happier for them!

Victoria celebrated her golden birthday! In typical V fashion, she made the weekend super fun with an outing with friends, to a Nat's game, and then, not one, but 2 YSA dances and meeting new friends.

I continue to long term sub for a 5th grade class out Yowell! It had been both challenging and rewarding. I love the students. I especially enjoy teaching science.

I love that G's friends came to watch him play!

Dad, C, and I were there too!
(Saw some cool pics of G on Susan's outgoing portraits. I bought some later in the season without the watermarks. If I find them, I will switch them out.)

He is doing a great job!

I got these fun pics from a school pep rally. Spy Grant, Danny, and Mia!

Grant is enjoying golf lately.

V and friends had a quick trip to NYC and had a fun time sightseeing and dancing!

Not too many pictures of Christian, but he is making us proud working hard on the farm at Eldon Farms as an Environmental Scientist Intern and also going to school full-time at Germana. He works hards and works out every night too. We are proud of him.

Danny is busy at the start of a new school year and coaching Katherine's softball team too.

Good month. Peace out, August.
