Family Vacation: Carnival Paradise from Tampa to Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico

Our trip started with a long drive from home to Savannah, Georgia!

An exciting stop was at Buc-cee's!

We even met Buc-cee!

Danny thought he did too, but that was just a statue. Haha.
Christian chose to sleep/ stay in the car through this excitement. I am being sarcastic, but honestly it is such a cool fun stop! Grant loved the beef jerky samples!

We were all pretty happy to make great time driving. Thanks, Danny! We dropped our things off at the hotel, went to the Vazquez house in Rincon! Paige and family made a nice dinner for us and we had fun talking, playing pool, and the kids went on a rainy exploration/walk.
Anya and G looking drippy.

The whole gang!

We had fun! Danny took the kids to the hotel, so he could get to sleep at a reasonable time, but I stayed with Paige and we had a fun night together. She dropped me back off at the hotel before it was too too late. We always enjoy being together!

We were off bright and early!

Luckily, we didn't have traffic and made it to Tampa on time!

The boarding process was pretty smooth and the kids were happy to find that there were 4 beds in their room. We weren't quite sure.

We unpacked and got settled and explored the ship right away. First day activities included the slides, pool, mini-golf, ping-pong, piano bar, working out, dinner, show, and music.

Totally great start!

Day 2: fun at Sea! We did a lot of the same! Also noteworthy was Danny's participation in sports trivia during the day and formal night. We enjoyed another nice dinner and

Day 3: Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Honduras

It was a beautiful day! We enjoyed being in the water, floating on floats, snorkeling, soaking up sun, taking a short nature walk, eating lunch, swimming and snorkeling again, finding conches (Danny found 11, I believe), and more! Katherine and I felt pretty tired that night, so she fell asleep in bed with me watching a cooking show.

Day 4:Cozumel Mexico

Another super fun day! We took a taxi to a rental car place and picked up a buggy and a jeep to drive around the island! The weather was so perfect in the morning, so we had fun driving to different spots to get out and explore and take pictures. We stopped at another beach for lunch and souvenier shopping. We stopped at another beach to swim and play. Then, we went to some Mayan ruins, but we were a little too late, so left. We went back to the city and it started to downpour. Luckily, V and I got the top back on the buggy in time, but still, it was definitely pouring in. It was funny and exciting. We filled up on gas and returned the cars. We went back to the ship to dry off and change and then went back to the shopping area right at the port. All of the kids got a souvenier from the trip. We stayed out until the last 15 minutes or so, so we maximized our time in Cozumel. We enjoyed a casual buffet style dinner that night. That felt the right speed for the day and was still good. We enjoyed ship entertainment that night too. I may see if I still have details on the Carnival app, because I am blurring days in my head.

Day 5: Another Fun day at Sea!
It was a very windy day, but a good day! We enjoyed the family time, food, and entertainment!

V made really cute reels from our trip! Check them out!
