Christian's First Kindergarten Field Trip- Maymont Park

Christian had his first field trip to Maymont Park and Grant and I got to go spend the day with him. It was fun for all of us! Grant and I rode there with our friends, the Hamilton's. So, even the drive there was fun.

When the buses got there we all had a picnic lunch. Then, we went exploring! Christian's friend, Sam, walked with us around the park. Our group walked around with more friends, Carrington and Emma, and Carrington's mom, Sarah. I love Sarah, so it was fun to spend the day together with the cute kids. Christian, Sam, Carrington, and Emma really got along well and were excited to be outside on a beautiful day.

The kids enjoyed looking at all of the animals! In this case they were looking at a
Bobcat!
 Isn't Christian such a cutie?
They stopped and gave a performance in this gazebo.
Christian kept forgetting to not hang over the edge! He is excited to see, but it is dangerous.
Christian and Sam looked for the bear.
While looking for the bear, Carrington lost another tooth!
 The kids had fun climbing,
 hiding (in the bamboo)
running across the stepping stones (a little girl in their class fell in later in the day)
running through the Italian garden (take note of the dome roof)
 stopping to smell the roses,

throwing pretend money into a "wishing well"
making loud echos,

leaning over more edges,
and playing on statues
What a great field trip at our favorite park!
