Selling the Farmhouse.

My parents sold their old farmhouse in Powhatan. They worked so hard to restore it over the past few years and it looked awesome. They worked together to clean and paint, redo floors, and much more. They had the kitchen and bathrooms redone and had a garden set up. My mom is so good at decorating and filled it with beautiful furniture and artwork  that she bought primarily at antique stores and auctions. It was a great team project and a hobby for them and was a fun place for special family gatherings and for weekend getaways. With land and gardens and multiple sheds and buildings and a chicken coop, it had so much potential. However, caring for 3 properties while going through cancer treatments seemed like way too much, so they made the difficult and wise decision to sell it. They sold it to a young teacher with a family and that made them very happy! I wasn't able to help much, but we went to pack up a few things, move some things to my parents' house, and take pictures of items to sell. It was sad to see it looking so sparse and sad to say goodbye, but again, we were glad that they had one less thing to worry about.
