Happy 60th, Dad!

While my dad was outside with my brothers, a surprise was brewing inside. He came in and "SURPRISE!" I think he kinda knew what was up, but he was a little surprised still.

He didn't know that his mom and Mary and Bob were coming, so that part was a surprise. My mom planned this awesome suprise party for him for when Matt and Janelle and the kids were visiting(more about that visit in upcoming blogs.) She arranged a plane ride over the river house. There is a little airport just down the road in Topping and my dad is or has been interested in flying. Anyway, when they flew overhead he would see the house and a huge Tyvec suprise sign in the yard and then come back and we would all be there. Well, unfortunately the guy sold his plane and the new one wouldn't be there until 2 weeks after the party! Poor mom, she planned something so cool and it just didn't get to happen. We still had a great time though and I think he still knows we love him.

Craig and Lorel gave him this cool caricature that Lorel's dad drew. We thought that was pretty cool. He got lots of fishing accessories and river type gifts too.

The kids were excited that it was his special day! They love him so much!

I think he really loves his grand kids too.

Hope you have a fabulous year, Dad! We love you!
